Sewing Machine Practice - Printable WORKSHEETS

Sewing Machine Practice - Free Printable WORKSHEETS

Today we’ll start our sewing journey with the most basic and important sewing technique: the straight stitch.

I've created eleven sewing practice worksheets that you can print and practice at home.

We’re first going to start without fabric or thread, just to get you used to how the machine feels. I recommend you to spend as much time as you need to to feel comfortable controlling the speed and direction of your sewing machine.

There are 4 different levels including:

1. Sewing straight lines. Also, try different stitch widths and lengths.

2. Sewing corners. Leave your needle in the paper, lift up your presser foot and turn the sheet until you are ready to sew in the new direction. Lower your presser foot and continue sewing.

3. Sewing curves. Turn the paper as you sew and try to keep on the lines for these curvy shapes

4. Advanced. Complex shapes... straight lines, corners and curves... all together.

I hope this helps to improve your sewing skills.

Enjoy!
